well that holiday weekend flew by now didn’t it? happy tuesday everyone! I just wanted to pop in to share a new workshop I’m teaching in december at the palos verdes art center…

“LUNAR” ART JOURNAL WORKSHOP – Friday, December 2nd, 10am-4pm
This mixed media class takes you through the process of creating a two-page art journal spread – while specifically using lunar phases as an inspiration. Through guided step-by-step instruction, you will build up a cosmic background layer through acrylic paint, watercolor, and vintage photographs. With our background layer complete, the class then further explores: how to overlay a lunar phase in gold, embed a personal intention, additional layering techniques with paint, the use of a focal point, and how to apply fun finishing details – all leading you to a cosmically creative journal spread.

One Response to upcoming workshops

  1. Wish I could get up to PV for the Lunar workshop, but I am excited to see you in October at Art Lounge for House of Voodoo. I live a few miles from there and just signed up! Starting my collection of “darker” ephemera, etc., today!
