I just wanted to pop by here to remind you that my new online class SPIRITS arrives tomorrow morning in my Etsy shop at 8:00am pst! as I mentioned in the announcement post, I’ve got that ‘spirit pack’ giveaway for the first 20 students who enroll in the class…
The first 20 students to enroll in the Spirits class will receive a free ‘Spirit pack’ via snail mail. This includes a hand painted trading card from the artist (featuring a ‘spirit’), a die-cut sticker, fun packing tape bits designed by Roxanne, and a mini art print! (while supplies last, limited to the first 20 students only)
with the launch of SPIRITS, there will also be more online class bundle options available. these new bundle combos will also reflect that lower early bird rate for Spirits! basically, buy a bundle this week during the launch of Spirits to save more moolah and snag another one of my classes (like Creatures or Lyrical, or both!).
I’m so absolutely thrilled about this new class, and cannot wait to share it with you all. hopefully I’ll be ‘seeing you’ in class tomorrow!

as most of you know, each year when participating in inktober I create a series of halloween inspired ‘portraits’. they feature a variety of spooky or horror characters from tv, film, or throughout history. to recap the drawings from week one, I filmed a little sketchbook tour over on my youtube channel…
hop on over here to get an up close look at the first batch of portraits!
+ these pages are part of a body of work where each journal spread is inspired by a specific song. this particular spread is inspired by fleetwood mac’s rhiannon.

also, I’ve already gotten a number of you asking if I’ll be posting a video featuring my make it artsy experience – and the answer is yes! I had my gopro with me the entire time, and will be putting together a behind the scenes video for all of you. it’s going to take me a bit to edit it all together, but expect that to be up in the next week or two. be sure you’re subscribed to my youtube channel to never miss an update!
