for the first time ever, I am selling some original journal spreads and ‘in-progress’ spreads from a few of my altered book journals!
as you may have seen on instagram, a few weeks ago while cleaning my studio I found a stash of altered books that weren’t fully finished, or that were falling apart. rather than hoarding this artwork for myself, I’ve decided to pass it on and list it in my etsy shop.
you can hop on over here to check out everything I’ve listed! there are 8 completed spreads (one of which is still in a book), and 4 ‘in-progress’ spreads…
***UPDATE: everything is now SOLD OUT! thank-you so so so much for those of you with quick fingers and who may have been watching my Etsy shop. all listings were gone within 10 minutes from the time I posted…THANK-YOU!! <3***
as promised, I’m bringing you some photos and a video tour of mini journal #9! hop on over here to watch the video…
+ reminder: this fully altered mini journal, along with 3 others, will be available for purchase in my etsy shop TOMORROW MORNING @ 9am PST!
***UPDATE: THESE MINIS ARE NOW ALL SOLD!***
in case you missed the last time it was up, make it artsy has put episode 8 back online! this episode features my segment on how to create abstract mini canvasses.
the episode is available to watch for free until noon on january 20th. so, plenty of time to tune in and make some minis of your own. hop on over here to watch and scroll down to the bottom of the page to play the video!
+ want to binge-watch more videos? I now post daily on my youtube channel!
+ check out this vlog on my youtube channel, where I explain the backstory on this spread and how I know when something I’m working on feels ‘done’!
+ side note – this is one of my early spreads that inspired my ‘lunar’ art journal workshop. I’m teaching this very class next month at the palos verdes art center on dec 2nd and again in the new year (where we’ll be setting some intentions for 2017!) at the art lounge on 101 on jan 8th…
a new video tour of my drawings from week two of inktober is up on my youtube channel!
hop on over here to get an up close look at the second batch of halloween portraits…
+ want to see more from my inktober sketchbook? be sure to check out the drawings from week one.
as most of you know, each year when participating in inktober I create a series of halloween inspired ‘portraits’. they feature a variety of spooky or horror characters from tv, film, or throughout history. to recap the drawings from week one, I filmed a little sketchbook tour over on my youtube channel…
hop on over here to get an up close look at the first batch of portraits!
