while I would never ever in a million years do this to one of my precious little vinyls (*said in smigel voice), this video is quite entertaining.
sorry if you happened to stumble across my site and seen this…
still a work in progress folks!
I finally feel like I have fully regrouped. after my panic attack last week (more on that later), this past weekend was exactly what I needed. caught up on the annoying life stuff- laundry, cleaning, reorganizing…and caught up on my coursework- tons of reading, discussion posts, paintings and sketches. taking a break at the beach (hello gorg LA weather much?!) and mixing up my tasks (rather than sitting at my easel for hours on end), was the ultimate solution to recenter and remain calm.
…while my social life might be taking a hit- my creative one is feeling back on track.
this one’s for puff- who has been talking be off a ledge non stop this week with all of my grad school/work/life stress. I don’t know what I would do without him…xoxo.
…(to put it lightly)- is kicking my ass. literally. I get into these moments of frustration and have an utter melt down. how can I not? when I’ve been working on something for several hours, have to completely scrap what I was doing, and start over new- it’s brutal. I’m trying my best to remind myself that I am a GRAD STUDENT (student being the key word there), and this is unfortunately part of the learning process. (I have learned in a short time though- tears and charcoal on paper= no bueno.)
going to quote something puff said to me this morning to ease my frustration and reminded me that I have a long road ahead (and to not get discouraged):
“MFA babe- Mother Fucking Art degree is what that stands for. It’s not suppose to be easy. But I know this is something that is in you..and that you can do it.”
a little glimpse into last sunday…there’s nothing like enjoying a weekend morning with homemade breakfast pizza, mimosas, and listening to the ocean while eating alfresco on your patio. can we also note how cute puff looks in that last photo? *sigh my little future hubs.
ps- I posted that breakfast pizza recipe here. note- I did spice it up at a tad by adding shitake mushrooms and cooking them a bit w/ olive oil, garlic and onions prior to putting them into my mix of toppings. it was great addition.
“she’s been my best friend for 53 years, and I’ve been her best friend for 53 years”
as someone who is newly engaged (and in a little over a year will marry the love of her life), I found this project to be incredibly heartfelt and simply beautiful. I know I will back it…and encourage you to do the same!
*shout out to taza and hubby- where they posted it on their blog the rockstar diaries.
